Ayvens expands e-cargo offering with Spijkstaal and Addax
Ayvens wants to support customers even better with the challenges of inner-city logistics, taking into account practical aspects, the CO2 impact and of course costs.
Ayvens, the largest leasing company in the Netherlands, is starting a collaboration with Spijkstaal and Addax (via Easy Go Electric) and is expanding its e-cargo leasing offering of light electric vehicles (LEVs). With its last mile delivery lease solutions, Ayvens aims to make the changing world of urban logistics more accessible. It is a new step in offering sustainable total mobility for entrepreneurs.
As of January 1, 2025, the first cities - including Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amsterdam - will introduce zero-emission zones to reduce CO2 emissions in the city. Vehicles that meet the Euro 6 standard may continue to drive in these cities until 2028. Many entrepreneurs who regularly operate in city centers and are dependent on a truck or van will have to switch to electric alternatives. The e-cargo vehicles from Spijkstaal and Addax have a large loading volume and are handy in the city due to their favorable dimensions that make loading, unloading and parking even easier, without causing congestion.
Sander Pleij, Managing Director of Ayvens: “Entrepreneurs must be able to continue to do their work properly after the start of the zero emission zones, as they are used to. For that reason, we at Ayvens are thinking along with additional solutions that will keep the inner cities accessible after 1 January 2025 and at the same time make them emission-free.”
